To Be Remembered

Part 5 of 10 of Story of a Lifetime

The Third:

Eternal slumber disrupted by a miracle
No more darkness, for I am awake again

You have to be a someone to have a life. You have to be who we all think we are"

Who I was I may never be
I cannot be useless
I must matter
I have to be known
I will never give in to my old dreams

What can I do to make something out of nothing?
Save lives, create lives, discover lives, all done time and time again
I must be the greatest of my time
I must matter

Months since my awakening and still nothing
Closer and closer to my purpose, and I'm running out of time
But what is time to a person who time deemed unworthy?
Nothing but a cruel mistress that controls all

People pass me by and  I never say goodbye
They never mattered to me
All that matters is that I make my mark
A mark of blood and tears

Note: What I'm trying to get across in this song may be a bit heavy-handed, but that's kind of what I was going for
